ABOUT JANELLY


Janelly Farias is a Mexican-American Former Professional Soccer Player, freelance bilingual Broadcaster & Studio Analyst, Speaker & Author, LGBQT+ rights advocate, Emmy Award Winner, pioneering in Mexican soccer and beyond.

Janelly represented the Mexican National Team across 15+ years, played for Liga MX Femenil’s top clubs including Club América, Chivas, Pachuca And FC Juarez. She starred in a nationally-televised and award-winning commercial for Wells Fargo entitled “Mexican Pride” that sought to raise awareness for the LGBTQ+ community.

She has been part of broadcasting teams in both English and Spanish, working as a studio analyst for Telemundo during the 2023 (& 2019) FIFA Women’s World Cup which she won an Emmy for, CBS Sports for the 2025 & 2021 Men’s CONCACAF Nations League Tournaments, and currently CBS Sports Analyst for UEFA Women’s Champions League.

She’s been featured in The Guardian, BBC, and was a guest speaker for Harvard and Vanderbilt University.

Janelly prides herself in living an elite lifestyle, empowering excellence and using her platform to help others better their lives on and off the pitch.
